Danielle D. Tennison is the owner of DT Books and a proud native of Bluffton, South Carolina. A graduate of Hilton Head High School, she is the devoted mother of her daughter, Donshea Brown.​ Born with a birth defect called spina bifida, Danielle was told she wouldn’t live past the age of five or accomplish much in life. But she defied the odds and continues to do so every day. Now a published children’s book author and advocate for people with disabilities, Danielle uses her voice and stories to encourage acceptance, kindness, and hope.​
